You don't just need dog training… you need training for your dog.

After many lessons with Rebecca, her style of training is still remarkable to me. She never raises her voice, never loses her patience with the dog (or the owner!). Not only is this kinder, it's more effective. But really, what makes Rebecca so exceptional isn't only the way she trains dogs, it's who she is as a person. Her clients genuinely respect and enjoy her. More than once, we've relied on Rebecca in situations beyond training. When our dear Great Dane was diagnosed with a crippling disease, she spent hours on the phone with me, offering advice, compassion, and support. On a happier note, she was also there to help pick out our new puppy.

This is a hugely enthusiastic recommendation of the trainer who has been working with us in Pasadena for at least five years. We have used quite a number of trainers over the years, but she is vastly superior to any of the others. Rebecca is delightful to deal with. She is incredibly punctual for her appointments. She has had instant chemistry with each of our dogs. She has no hesitation about being firm with the dogs when the situation warrants, but is never harsh. Our dogs absolutely love her. There is a lot of unscientific baloney in the dog training world, and Rebecca isn’t caught up in any of it. Although Rebecca works on training the humans to communicate with the pup on the basics, she doesn’t show up with an elaborate program of tasks for your pup and you to master. Instead, she listens - a rare skill these days - to what issues you are having, and helps figure out the best way to address them. Over the years she has helped us solve problems we didn’t even know could be remedied, and along the way has provided truly excellent advice about collars, dog beds, etc. I could go on and on about how terrific she is, but you get my drift.

I have worked with Rebecca for 27 years training 4 dogs. She is professional, but has a lot of heart with my dogs. The minute she walked in she established good behavior with them, never raising her voice. She helped get my first dog into the UCLA pet therapy program. Since then, my other three dogs have also become therapy dogs with Rebecca’s help. I have recommended her to several people to help get their dogs ready for their Pet Partners therapy dog tests and every single one has passed the test! She has also trained my dogs to earn multiple AKC trick title certificates, which is lots of fun. I totally recommend her and give her five stars!
